Things I've Never Understood About Soap Operas

In this post, I will be mentioning things I've never understood about Soap Operas. This blog post is mainly about the Home and Away soap opera but could also be applied to some others. Soap Operas build tension and suspense although the characters and parts of the storyline are similar.  

Here are some things that I have never understood about Soap Operas:

1. The characters never answer text messages of phone calls. If you have recently watched Home and Away you would have noticed this with Amber, Nikau, Bella, Dean etc. 

2. If someone leaves like Mason died or Brody and Symone leave the characters like Tori, Justin and Leah never mention him again. In addition to Mason's death, they were never that upset. They buried him but didn't mention him at all afterwards apart from a picture on the fridge of him. 

3. Another thing I have noticed is that people are so nosy in Summer Bay especially the Diner staff (Irene, Marilyn and Leah). They are always trying to work something out. In more of a recent story, Angelo Rosetta is spying on them.
