Drawing Techniques
Hi,
I am going to just dive in to teaching you the basics of a portraits.
1. Don't Draw on Plain Paper
This is a very common mistake made by people. To receive the right texture and smudges of your portrait or drawing. You need cartrdge paper. Here is a link: Seawhite A4 Cartridge Pad: Amazon.co.uk: Office Products but there are many other stores you can buy it from like Wilko, The Works etc.
2. Left handed People
If you are left handed it is very important to get LH pencils rather then right. It will effect the posture and way you write and draw. They may be more expensive but it is worth the money at the end of the day.
3. Overline
After you have completed the drawing always overline the finished outcome in black pen to ensure the observer has a clearer view of what it is.
I hope my three top tips really helped. If you would like a part 2 to this post make sure to hit the Follow button on the right hand side.
